Kim Kardashian’s SKIMS debut menswear line with sports icons
First launched in 2019, SKIMS is “a solutions oriented brand creating the next generation of underwear, loungewear and shapewear” co-founded by Kim Kardashian, Emma Grede, and Jens Grede. The brand is all about body positivity and inclusion, as well as making very comfy clothes, and they have been seeing huge success ever since. It’s now valued at USD 4 billion, and has seen campaigns featuring many industry icons such as Cardi B, Carmen Electra, and to an extent, Ice Spice.
Now, SKIMS is debuting a menswear line, and it has been appearing on everyone’s timeline since. After all, the campaign features football legend Neymar Jr., NFL’s Defensive Player of the Year, along with NBA All-Star’s Shai Gilgeous. Photographed by Donna Trope, we see each piece in full spotlight as each athlete shows off their toned complexion.
The new menswear line features a cotton, stretch, and sports collection. The sports collection is designed to be worn under your usual gym clothes, made from mid-weight cotton with performance-aiding base layers.
According to Kim Kardashian, this expansion is in accordance with the brand’s mission to provide solutions to everybody, male body types included. As such, each piece from the collection is available in sizes from XS-5XL.
“To have an icon like Neymar Jr be the face of our launch campaign, along with NBA All-Star, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and NFL’s top Defensive Player Nick Bosa, I think speaks volumes to the way SKIMS has evolved into becoming a brand that can provide comfort for all audiences, not just for women. I am incredibly excited about this next chapter for SKIMS and cannot wait for everyone to experience our amazing range of products,” the star said in a press release.
